Start wl the vaseline/moisturizer w/ socks at night. If you have a lot of dry skin you can buy a ped egg to remove some of it.

The Ped Egg is excellent! You can get it at Bed Bath and Beyond and lots of other places.

Ped Egg is the best in addition to the Shea Butter Foot Cream from Bath and Body Works!

Re: good products for rough feet?
the ped egg doesn't work so well for me anymore. i use a really rough nail file (the kind nail salons use on acrylic nails) on my soles and my big toe, which also gets really dry. then i use this:
Sally Hansen Spa Sugar Scrub
it leaves my feet insanely soft.
i try and do this at night, so that after i scrub and rinse i can slather my feet in vaseline and wear socks to bed. works incredibly well. i need to do this so badly but you know how it is with kids

That's what I use too. And I scrub my heels in the shower with one of those pumice stones.

Re: good products for rough feet?
First, I scrub with a pumice in the shower. Once my feet are dry I use the big file to smooth them out, then Burt's Bees coconut foot creme with socks at night.

Re: good products for rough feet?
I also use the Ped Egg, but have learned my lesson never to use it the day before a pedicure! I was hoping to stave off rough heel embarrassment and I think I went a little too smooth... Combined with my pedicure soak and such, my heels are now so cracked (yet smooth!) and hurt like a bastid!!
I am using Heel Rescue Superior Moisturizing Foot Cream and wearing socks around in 95-degree heat (thank God for CAC! ).

Re: good products for rough feet?
I remember Yourmom said in another post to warm up some olive oil and put it in a ziplock bag, put your feet in so the sock in them (I guess you put enough to cover the bottom of our feet) then you wrap the bag with a warm towel and you sit for an hour. I am still wanting to do this but have yet to find that hour to sit here with the kids.
