Good price on oil?
DH was calling around for oil prices. we want to do it C.O.D. rather than get into a contract with the fluctuating oil prices.
the lowest we found was $2.44
Good price? we thought so...

That is a good price. I am sick over this. we locked in our rate back in july when oil was so high and everyone thought it was going to keep going higher and higher and we locked in at 4.89. It make me sick. I even tired calling bc we have not had an oil delivery since before we locked ina nd they said there is nothing to do about it. It make me want to throw up!

That is a good price. I am sick over this. we locked in our rate back in july when oil was so high and everyone thought it was going to keep going higher and higher and we locked in at 4.89. It make me sick. I even tired calling bc we have not had an oil delivery since before we locked ina nd they said there is nothing to do about it. It make me want to throw up!
Cancel your contract. Read the terms of your agreement and just pay the cancellation fee. You will probably be better off.

Even if you have to pay a fee of $100 or more to cancel you will get that $$$ back in one oil delivery.

Call and talk to them again. Find out how much it is to break your contract.
We locked in at 3.39 and since then, oil has dropped. We called and spoke to them. Told them that we were interested in breaking our contract because the price of oil has dropped so much. They ended up working with us and allowing us to go with a flex price with a ceiling.
Lots of oil companies have people breaking their contracts and paying the fee because it's cheaper then keeping their lock. Because of this, most oil companies are willing to work with you to keep the business.

I just got a delivery yesterday for $2.39 from Best PRice Oil. It would have been $2.35 if we needed over 150 gallons, but we only needed 110.
I don't know what it will be tomorrow. We are in Nassau, but this company is based in Suffolk.
