Good News!
Not sure if any of you remember bout DH and I going into contract for our first home together (and my first home ever), but mortgage has been officially approved, and the appraisal is complete!!! My printer is shooting that thru as I type!!!
Soooo happpy! What can I expect next?? How much longer until we can close from everyone else's experience???

do you have an on our about date?? ours was July 13th and we are closing on friday... aug 12th.... it really depends how quickly the morgage stuff goes through, your title stuff and how quick the owners need to be out... our title report ended up coming back with info saying that we needed an updated survey, which takes about 3 weeks to complete, so after everything was ready, we had to wait another 3 weeks!  I can't wait for monday when we take possesion! no more house buying stress!

Congratulations bebalina!! That's a great step closer to closing!
We actually closed this Tuesday. We first saw the house in mid - April - and closed August 9th - so the whole procedure took almost 4 months.
We were on top of our lawyers and made sure the process was moving along the whole time.
I would think the next step is waiting to hear back from both lawyers about a compromised "Closing Date" that works best for them both.

thanks ana...i have no clue how the process works, i'm thinking whats left is the title and application for home insurance...
then a closing?
