Good Italian resturant in East Meadow/Levittown/Bellmore ??
Our favorite local Italian resturant closed  Anyone have any suggestions? We're in East Meadow.

I love Domenico's in Levittown. A bonus is that it's right next door to Dortoni's bakery 
ETA We go to Vincent's on Old Country in Carle Place a lot and the food is terrific!

I second Domenico's been going since I was little. Also, for good take out, Cafe Boccelli on N Jerusalem across from Rosemary Kennedy Boces. What place did you go to that closed???

Brooklyn Cafe in Bellmore was our favorite local place, but we went back a few weeks ago and they were "closed for renovations" with a realty sign in the window 
ETA: Where is Dominicos?

It's on Hempstead Tpke in the King Kullen Shopping Center in Levittown. Again, check out the bakery next door, too

Porto Fino in Levittown is also good. It's in the Waldbaums/Ulta shopping center on Hempstead Tpke.
ETA: Also, there's Mama Theresa's in East Meadow over by the Walmart.

Hands down Vincents is the best. Its not that much farther. I have been to Domenicos too and wasn't that impressed.

As someone who spent 4 years in Franklin Square and enjoyed some of the best Italian food on LI, I have to disagree with both Borelli's and Mama Theresas. DH and I now live in E. Meadow and are still on the hunt for good Italian food in the area. If we ever find one we'll let you know.
