good friend lost her mother...
in November to stomach cancer. She is having a really rough time ... she doesnt want to go out or anything like that...what can I do to help? give her? any advice

call her every day to check on her -- but do not say "I am checking on you." She'll get the message.

Good Friends are hard to come by. She needs time to mourn for her Mom and if she was as I was close to her it is hard, very hard, you never ever get over that miss. The first of firsts are the hardest, but I will be honest everything is hard without your Mom no matter how old you are, I am 50, and I would do anything to have her back, and I am sure your friend is feeling the same thing. Just keep calling her, remembering her Mom, and let her do whatever she wants to do, even sit around and talk about her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend.
