Good food for play kitchens - for younger kids

Does anyone have any suggestions for good food for play kitchens?? I was going to get the ones at Costco but I read that it should be used by kids 3 and up because of small parts that are choking hazards.
My DD puts EVERYTHING in her mouth so now I'm nervous about getting them.

Thanks!!

I got a basic set at TRU and threw away anything that I thought could be a choking hazard. Kids of all ages put all the play food in their mouths all the time!

I got DS the one at Costco for Christmas. Haven't opened it yet but through the window, I don't see anything smaller than the food that came with his kitchen and he's been fine with it since 18 months. You can put aside small pieces until later.

Also, check craft fairs, or etsy, for crocheted play food. I made some for DS and he loves it and it's machine washable.
