Good but almost creepy "safety/precautious" idea for moms
I just read this in a magazine as I was on the eliptical at the gym.
One mom posted as a tip:
To take pics of your kids before you go to a crowded mall/party/amusement park, so that HEAVEN FORBID you lose one of them, you have a picture handy of what they were wearing.
Sounds like a great idea, but sounds so scary at the same time, just to think of it...

How about just taking a quick pic with your camera phone (if you have one) right before you go out the door?

I read that too....
It's funny, I was in the mall yesterday with the 2 kiddies and we met up with my mom and sister. We did some shopping, and at one point, there were like a gazillion kids running amok in IKEA and they were running into people, knocking things over, etc. My mom sees this and comments on how good Andrew is sitting in the Sit and Stand. We had been shopping going on 3 hours, so he was defintiley a good boy. Then I said to my mom, I wish more parents would keep their kids in strollers longer... I know its not always possible, but it made me thankful I don't have him running around yet. His time will come too soon!

If I'm going somewhere crowded, I snap a photo with my cell phone. They're always holding my hands but when we were in Central Park, all it takes is a split second behind a tree for me to panic.
