Gonal-F Question
So I started my stim meds yesterday and I was fine until I got to the Gonal-F. I know it is suppose to be 'idiot-proof' but apparently I am an idiot because it seemed so overwhelming. There were so many directions, it made me nervous. I sure hope I did it right. Any one else have problems with this shot or is it just me? I actually prefer the multi-dose vials (like Lupron) that I can just measure myself. This Gonal-F Pen just seemed too confusing.

I agree. I couldn't get the pen to go all the way down last night either. It stopped at 75. I have to email Sandra at Dr. B's office and ask her about it.
The follistim pen was easier.

The follistim pen was easier.
Was your pen out of meds? When the pen stops it usually means that you ran out of meds. By stopping on 75 it means that that is what your dose was short by.

Well, I am glad that I am not the only one. I just emailed Sandra and apparently I did do it wrong. She said I have to inject it twice since my dose is 750 but the dial only goes up to 450. Yikes. I will watch the videos and see if it goes better tonight. It all seems very confusing. I was wondering why there was medicine left in the pen afterwards.

The pen wasn't out of meds, thanks though! It's not like the Follistim pen.
I emailed Sandra and she said the Gonal F stops at 75, even if there is med in the pen (that is stupid, but ok.) She sent me a video. OH well, I over medicated last night by75.
