Going to public school after Private Kindergarten?
If I send my son to Private Kindergarten, then if I want him to go to a public school then I can just sign him up for 1st grade right?

Hopefully I'll figure out what we want to do since registration for all of these schools start towards the end of this year for the following year.

Yes.
Not necessarily. This varies by district. Where I teach the child has to test in to first grade after a year in private K (if they missed the public school cutoff or are chronologically younger than the students on the grade level) or will be placed in kindergarten.
And to test in means to test at or above the curriculum of the grade level, as layed out by the district.
