Absolutely not! You can have whomever you choose and you don't, necessarily, need to have two.

Not silly at all. Check with your church though, mine will only allow 1 male and 1 female godparent.
If they allowed 2 females, it would be so much easier in picking godparents for #2.

Not at all.
My uncle has twins (boys)
They each have 2 godmothers.
It was never a problem at the church.
