Girl's day in NYC - ideas
My friends and I are starting a tradition to do a girls day/night in the city. Over the summer we saw a Broadway show. This was to celebrate our birthdays. Had apps and drinks at Heartland and then more drinks and dinner after the show at Dos Caminos.
Looking for another fun day for 6 - 8 of us. Don't want to spend as much this time, but looking for fun ideas.
Any fun Tour for the day? Thanks

My girls and I do a weekend in NYC every year. Some of the things we've done:
Made our own custom lipstick at Bite Lip Lab:
bite lip lab
Spa day at Bliss
We did a tour of the Chelsea Market last year that was so much fun.
The Tenement Museum
Ground Zero
Broadway Shows
lunch/dinner at Little Italy
brunch at Tavern on the Green
any of the museums
cocktails at the Waldorf
walk the highline
We even did one of those double decker bus tours as a joke one year - it was so much fun.

the tenement museum is something i wanna do
the double decker bus is so much fun. did it with an OOT guest, and we had a ball... and learned a lot.
i would throw in
* south street seaport... i love watching the street performers
* ft tryon park and the cloisters... i used to live close to there and loved it

Everyone thinks that because they live here, they shouldn't go on those tours and that they are a big joke. But they're not, if you get the right guide they will tell you lots of things that you probably don't already know and it is really entertaining.
We've taken the downtown tour and learned a lot that we never knew. We don't get off of the bus, we just take the full loop and just listen and watch.

When some friends came to visit we did the 'sex ant the city' tour and it was great!
I like to walk and explore different parts of the city... soho, east and west village, and explore restaurants.
Comedy clubs, off broadway shows, the tour boats around manhattan are fun as well.
Check groupon, you can get lots of ideas and with great prices there, for restaurants, shows, spas, etc.
