GI Dr appt
DD has had chronic constipation since she was born and I finally made her a GI appt for Wednesday. What do they do at the initial appt? For anyone who has BTDT, what do they do for it? I'm sick of just giving her miralax! Thanks!

We started going to a GI doctor when dd was a month old but it was for the opposite reason! He took a stool sample from her rectum and tested it then and there for blood. It was positive, which indicated that there was something significantly irritating her GI tract (dx with a milk protein allergy). There was also a developmental history taken.

My dd went for the opposite reason as well. Her stool wasn't tested (was tested at peds and neg for blood) but they took a history. Asked what types of formula I had tried with her. And what symptoms she was showing. They ended up sending her for a sono which came back negative. I changed her formula and had a brand new baby... She was 2 months at the time.
