GERD and pregnancy

Does anyone else here suffer from GERD (gastro-esophageal reflux disease)? I currently take Nexium daily, but my sister, who is a pharmacist says I need to stop when I get preg. My doctor said that there is no evidence to show that it has harmed fetuses, but also no evidence to show that it has not harmed fetuses. I tried to go off it and I have been so sick. Anyone else in this predicament?

Re: GERD and pregnancy

I am glad that Zantac is working for you. I tried it the other day and it didn't even take the edge off! Maybe pregnancy will make it better-- I know, fat chance!Chat Icon
