This is driving me nuts.

All the other formulas I've used give you TWO hours to use the formula once it's made.

Good Start says ONE HOUR!!! WHY?!?!?

It really is limiting...

Like, right now, I'm watching my DS on the video monitor make mouth movements and move around like he's about to wake up to eat. So I made the formula at 10:39. Of course, now that I'm ready for him, he seems to have gone back to sleep. But now that the bottle is made, I only have about 10 more minutes for him to start to have any chance of finishing within the hour or else I have to dump it.

What could possibly be the difference between how this formula is prepared and how other powders are in regard to the amount of time you have to use it?? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Do you pay attention to the hour limit, if you use Good Start?

I would guess it's the probiotics in it.

The proteins in good start are broken down further than in other formulas, perhaps that is why ?

I used good start for 6 months and never knew they said 1 hour not 2 Chat Icon
So I definitely passed the 1 hour mark.

I used Similac sensitive and made a whole pitcher in the morning and it sat all day until we used it.

I would dump if she started to eat and didn't finish within the 2 hr range.

If he didn't start eating I would put it in the fridge and warm it up a bit when he's ready
