Future Hubby looking to adopt

I am getting married in October and my Fiance is looking to adopt my daughter and we are looking for a little information. Any info would be appreciated. TIA, Ryan

I'm sorry but I'm not clear of your intent. Are you looking to relinquish your daughter for adoption or are you looking to adopt a daughter?

she is my biological daughter and when we marry he wants to adopt her.

I FMd you but for other people for future reference I'll post here too... from what I understand the papers that you file are a lot like a regular adotption process but I'm not sure...
My DH did a step-parent adoption for my son and because it was uncontested we were able to do the whole process ourselves without a lawyer... A lot depends on what the biological parents stand on the whole thing is... luckily my Ex agreed to it, although it wasn't easy. All you need to do is go to the Family Court in Islip (for Suffolk adoptions) and tell them you want the paperwork for a step-parent adoption.. they will give you a PILE of papers. They give you instructions on how to fill it out so it isn't too bad, just time consuming... There are also a few things that you need to do with the papers... fingerprinting, background checks and a social worker has to do a homestudy for you... Honestly, it sounds difficult, but it's really not and it's totally worth it... They also make it a big deal for the children on the final day.. you go to court and the judge does a whole thing with just your family and then you have cookies and juice and they give the kids balloons and a book and bear.. VERY cute and it was a GREAT day for us.
