Funny Christmas Tree story
And then I'll try to get a grip that the holidays are over!
So we spent Christmas down at my mom's in South Carolina ... and I think sometime a day or two before we were heading down she asked me if she should get the tree or wait for us. Since it was only a couple of days, I didn't think freshness mattered, so I told her to wait.
We get there and she's all excited to go to this guy who gets his trees in fresh from NC on a fairly regular basis so we head out ... only to find his huge tent EMPTY, not even a sign there were ever trees there!!
No kidding, my mother is on the verge of tears over this. We stop for some lunch, she won't eat and I really think she is going to bawl any minute!!
I suggest we hit Lowes or Home Depot since we usually get a decent tree at HD and don't spend too much (and at this point I'm thinking there may be nothing but dried up crappy trees).
Off to Lowes we go and we see trees! YAY!! We walk around, there are at least 30 trees and they all look pretty awesome. Trying to figure out prices, we see a 75% off sign and another sign with the different types of trees listed and $5 next to each ... we figure $5/foot.
Turns out all trees were 75% off $5 - a supple, full, gorgeous 7ft tree cost us $1.25 plus tax!!!!
It was like a Christmas miracle!! 
(OMG this story was waaaaay too long once I typed it all out!  )
