Full term ladies (37 weeks & up)... how we doing?

38w3d here.... not much progress. Cervix still sealed shut, though softening (since 2 weeks ago!), and no dilation/effacement just yet. Braxton Hicks in full force though, for the last 2 weeks or so... especially when I walk (does that mean anything?). I have an appt Thursday.

How are you guys doing?

41 weeks today. 1-2cm and 80% effaced on Thursday but no change since. Based on yesterday's sono baby is ginormous, weighing in at 9lbs 6oz. I go back on Thursday. No contractions at all just lots of unbearable pelvic pain.Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Full term ladies (37 weeks & up)... how we doing?

I have 5 days until my due date.
As of last Thursday - I am a tiny bit over 1cm dilated, hopefully that has changed since then. My next appt is Thursday unless something happens before.

When I was on the monitor last week they told me that I am having mild contractions, but I don't feel a thing.

At 38weeks, is it weird that I haven't been put on a monitor, and won't be put on a sono until AFTER my due date? My doctor just checks me, vaginally (manually).

I had unbearable pelvic pain too. How far apart are the pains? They may be contractions.

I don't think it's weird. The only reason I am on a monitor is because of the Toxemia. I have been on a monitor for almost 2 months now every weekChat Icon

I still have not had an internal which I think is weirdChat Icon

Re: Full term ladies (37 weeks & up)... how we doing?

I'm a few days shy of 37 weeks. I'm doing well - hanging in there. Feeling pretty good today. Plenty of BHs.

There was no progress at my last appt - I'm hoping to go in early June (due 6/15)

I'm 38 weeks today. As of last Thursday the baby's head was down, but no dilation.

I've been having a lot of pressure, especially at night and a hard time sleeping. I'm just hoping that this baby comes on time.

Not weird at all. I didn't go on the monitor until after my due date and didn't have the sono until the second visit after my due date, so don't worry. I think internals are the norm at that stage.

Re: Full term ladies (37 weeks & up)... how we doing?

Hello fellow "full term" ladies!

Im 37 weeks, 3 days and I thought I was possibly having the baby today. I had some symptoms quite similar to when I had my daughter. But they passed and Im still here. I go back to the OB on Thu but unless the baby changed positions, which I doubt, he's still breech and I'm scheduled for a c/s on June 8th. I dont think I'll go till then but thats the officially scheduled date. We have a big house renovation going on which was totally insane of us to schedule with me being so pg and having 2 small kids but its all coming together and I know I'll be happy its done once the baby is here. All I could think this morning when I was wondering if it was going to be "the day" is about how my kitchen cabinets were getting delivered and I wasnt ready to go. LOL

Labor vibes to all!!
