WHEN: Tomorrow, Friday August 8th, at Noon
WHERE: Hess, 615 Route 347 in Smithtown (by the King Kullen shopping center, across from the 7-11)
Please note and obey the following rules & procedures:
We'll lower the price of regular to $1.99 starting at Noon, for 94 minutes, at this gas station only.
You may purchase a MAXIMUM of 10 gallons of regular gas at $1.99 a gallon.
You may NOT fill-up a commercial vehicle. . . only "passenger" vehicles are allowed. If you can't drive your vehicle on a State Parkway, please don't bring it tomorrow.
PLEASE follow the instructions of WMJC Staff at the gas station.
The line will form in the EASTBOUND shoulder of Route 347. Please do NOT block the entrance to the shopping center or side streets.
PLEASE be courteous and patient. We'll try to move the line as quickly as we can to get as many cars as we can in during the time period allotted by the gas station.
PLEASE drive safely, and do NOT do anything that may directly or indirectly cause an accident or jeopardize the safety of others.

What a zoo! I find it impossible that all cars won't block shopping center entrances/exits.
It's nice they are doing it and all........but I see it as a huge traffic jam/hassle. Just a thought.

And I hate getting gas at BJs because of the lines...imagine sitting there to get it!

Also, keep in mind, that you're saving a maximum of $20. If you have nothing else to do, and you keep your car turned off unless the line is actually moving, it may be worth it. I'm not spending an hour, or even 30 minutes just to save $20. Most people will probably spend $5-$10 in gas just to get there, wait in line, and go home....

Wow, I feel bad for the poor guy who is waiting online just to find out they just ended the special.
I agree though. You would probably burn more gas just waiting in line.

That's my gas station because it's the cheapest gas on my way home down Mt. Pleasant road.
You can also get into the gas station from the sidestreet. That is going to be a NIGHTMARE.
