formula question -babies with spitup and gas issues

What formula do you use?
DS is on enfamil AR right now, he is still spitting up a ton and still gets gas issues. Doctor is not bothered by it since he is gaining weight great, but its going to be the death of me.

what do you use?

I went through all of enfamil, it just never helped, then I tried soy that helped but i won't leave him on that... so I tired similac sensitive, and that works great! i really think you just have to keep trying stuff till you find one that works, its a pain in the butt lol, but its worth it in the long run

Kristina had gas and reflux

Ped put her on Gentlease and 1/2 tsp of RC per oz in her bottle....

She was a changed baby after that!

I use similac sensitive plus 1/4 teaspoon of mylanta twice a day. It really helps...

Major Reflux issues here- We are on the Similac Sensitive RS- Its a thicker formula. He seems to hold this down the best, but still spits up/throws up

Re: formula question -babies with spitup and gas issues

Hi Laura,

We had the same problem with DD. She was classified as a "happy spitter", but we started using Similac Sensitive R.S. when she was about 4 months old and since then (she's 10 1/2 months), she hardly spits up at all!

Good luck!

Karen

Just wanted to send you some of these...Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I feel your pain. My DD was a great eater from the start. She began on Similac Advance. Then suddenly she started having gas issues so my ped suggested switching to Good Start. She was doing well for a little over a week and now it's hit or miss. She will do great for a few feedings and then have a couple of horrible ones.

I don't know if I'm expecting too much or what. Chat Icon We see the ped tomorrow so I'm going to ask about it. Sorry to hijack with my mini vent. Chat Icon

I use Similac Sensitive and it works great. We also use playtex drop ins, the reduced air really helped with gas pains that my DD was having.
