For those who got AF early this month...

An early period is not an indication of an early miscarriage, even if you know you timed your trying perfectly. Usually it means that the egg was not fertilizable, and so progesterone was not adequately produced. This shortens your cycle. Sometimes eggs simply don't develop properly during the ovulation process. It is usually a one-month problem. If you are regularly seeing that fewer than 10 days are passing between ovulation and your period, however, it's time to be tested for a luteal phase defect.

I was concerned that because AF showed 4 days early that maybe it was a m/c but I feel much better after reading this. Hope this helps someone else!!

Thank you for posting this, I got AF a week early and never and I mean never has that happen. It was sooooooooo different this period and I have the feeling could it be a chemical pregnacy? Gonna wait to call doctor if she hasn't left yet (AF) today will be 7 days. I also never had a long AF cycle like this ever.

She came early for me this month too! I can't remember when that has ever happened to me so many things ran through my head.

One of my friends told me I was probably spotting and could be pregnant. I am sure it wasn't spotting! She arrived and ruined my week!

The first month we started using opk, I tested on 10DPO and got a BFN. I was really disappointed and held out hope since AF hadn't arrived. That night, she showed, making her 4 days early. It was just a one month occurence, and 3 cycles later we conceived.


No worries, sounds like she just played a mean trick on you this month!
