For those parents who put cereal in your baby's bottle- how did you approach solid food?

For those parents who put cereal in your baby's bottle- how did you approach solid food?
b/c we can't feed him anymore cereal. did you go straight to single fruits?

You can still keep giving cereal by spoon.
DD gets 1 tsp/oz of rice cereal in all her bottles and we still give her cereal by spoon in the morning- but instead or rice she's either eating oatmeal or multigrain cereal. In the late afternoon she gets fruit. This weekend, I'm adding a veggie so she'll get cereal and fruit mid-morning and a veggie in the late afternoon.
We felt it was important to try out all the different cereals to make sure she didn't have any allergies to barley, wheat, oats, etc.
