Hmmm, I gave up complaining about my mother-in-law and it has been tough and a few times I expressed frustration but didn't flat out say "My MIL did XXX"
I have actually been nice to her and she has been nice to me too. I think a lot has to do with the fact that they are moving soon and she doesn't want to leave on bad terms.

I cheated once. I gave up chocolate but had chocolate cake and chocolate cheesecake at my SIL's wedding. Otherwise so far, so good!
