For photo holiday cards, are you putting just your child(ren) or are you and DH in the picture too?
We never did a formal birth announcement so I definitely want to do photo christmas cards this year. I'm undecided if it should be just DS or if DH and I should be in the picture too.

We havent taken our pictures yet. If I like family shots, I'll use them. If not, Ill just make prints of them and use Abby in the cards.

We've only ever done DS. I tried with the dog his first Christmas but it didn't work.
But apparently, no one wants to see any of us, so I guess whatever goes

DH has some strong opinions about family photos on cards. He doesn't have an opinion about the card, the photo or what it says - but a family photo is out.
I think if you're doing an holiday announcement, some bonding photos of you with the baby & DH with the baby are sweet. In fact, I often find those to be the more touching photos.

just DS. My DH wanted DS & our dog but its too much this year.
Personally, I would never want to be on the card.

I was just thinking about this. I post pics on facebook and send pics to family of just DD mostly so I was thinking a family shot would be cute for the holiday card.

I don't really like picture cards (JMO) so I do traditional boxed cards and will stick a holiday/1st b-day wallet size pic of DD in each one. I am taking family holiday pics though.

See my thread regarding checklist to take family picture for more details , but generally I bribe my husband into taking a family picture. Sometimes the bribe forces me to pee on a stick two weeks later.

I wanted to say just AJ but we had so many variations last year.
We did an Elf Yourself card with all of our faces. I thought it was fun and goofy and actually we got a TON of compliments on it
A really nice formal one with AJ's profile on it. She was sleeping so it was just her closed eyes, nose and cheeks with her tiny lil mouth... so cute.
Then another set which was three photos.... one of me holding AJ at the park at about 3 weeks. One of Jim holding AJ at vanderbilt manson around 4weeks old. And one of the whole family on a bench at vanderbilt.
This year I know for a FACT we are doing the Elf Yourself photos again. Plus a formal one of AJ form Picture People. I think two sets is enough (i hope) but knowing us we'll do yet another set from snapfish.

We did both last year. I made a 5X7 photo card. The top middle picture was landscape and had DD and our two dogs. I had two portrait orientation photos on the bottom. One was a family shot and the other just DD.
