Follow up's and shot visit's at the doctor's office
Do you have to pay a co-payment for a follow up appointment or one where they are just getting shots? So far at all the practice's I have been to (4 total) I have had to pay for both. One of those doctor's my SIL has been using for 7.5 years and I stopped using the same ped because we moved OOS but my SIL has never paid for a follow up or shot visit. One of my friends only allows her DD to get 1 shot a visit so she goes either every week or every other week for a shot and only pays a co-pay for the well visit.

I always pay my co-payment no matter what the reason is we're there.

We don't pay copays for well visits, but we do for follow up sick visits. My son just got the flu shot, and didn't see the dr, the nurse gave him the shot, and we didn't have to pay a copay.

We pay co-pays for well visits and sick visits, but I recently had to take DS back a couple weeks after his well visit for shots because he was sick at his well visit (ironically enough) and we did not have to pay a co-pay for shots.

See at the practice I go to the nurses administer the shots and that makes me even more annoyed that I have to pay a co-pay.

Same here. I was told I only pay a co-pay for a visit that includes a diagnosis of some kind.

I don't have to pay a co-pay if any shots are given at the visit. Otherwise we pay.

My job has United Health Care. No co-pays ($15) for Well Visits. Sick and booster (follow up) shots Im charged $15.

Ladies,
Check you Ins, Policy!! check well visits.. some times ins companies make mistakes .. it happened to me and I got credit. They are SNEAKY!!!!!

You guy's are lucky. I got excited when I saw your post so I called our insurance company and I pay every time I go to the dr.'s
