flu shot and pregnancy
Has anyone gotten the flu shot??
My OBGYN recommends that I get one, but I am nervous about gettting the shot. Any feedback??

Do it! Getting the flu while pregnant could put you in the hospital. Your arm will be a little sore, but thats it.

I just got one. My doctor said that even if I get pregnant again in the upcoming months its good to have.

I am going to get one on my next visit. My OB said that there is a specific flu shot that is safe for kids and pregnant women. I am asthmatic so getting the flu could be pretty bad for me.

My physician won't be getting more until after I give birth...anyone know of where else I can get one? I tried the county but you have to be 60+ to get it from them right now.

Walgreens, CVS, and Stop & Shop, costco (which I hear is crazy) are all having flu clinics -Check out their websites.

I think it depends how far along you are. My doctor would not let me get one last year. I was about 7 weeks prego this time last year.

I know that you cannot get the flu mist - if you have questions I would call your Dr and ask.
Mine told me they recommend it for all pregnant women no matter their gestation. I got mine though before I O'd.
