Re: fish oil?

I've taken fish oil supps before, but I don't know that they were from iceland. They were capsules, though, so no taste at all.

Re: fish oil?

Ooooh - yes, that can happen, though I never thought it had a fishy aftertaste... It did sour my stomach at first (though so do vitamins for me..)

I would recommend getting the smallest possible dose and taking it several times a day, versus the huge pills -- if you can. My stomach didn't really like them at first. I would start off only taking it once a day and working up the recommended amount.

I've just vowed to eat fish 2x a week (that's the most I can stomach it Chat Icon) instead. My stomach wasn't fond of the supplement, BUT it's not terrible if you start small and take it with food. Chat Icon

I use a brand called Nordic Naturals(they are manufactured in Norway). They do contain lemon oil so you don't get that fish aftertaste. I alternate between these and the brand from vitamin world(these actually do give me a bit of the fish aftertaste if I burpChat Icon ) I take 1000mg+ which is a few pills/day if they're not a highly concentrated one.

Re: fish oil?

You can also trya flax seed oil supplement. Its the same Omega 3's. I also believe they are now making an Omega 3 supplement derived from algea.

Neither of those would cause a fishy aftertaste and people who are allergic to fish can take them.
