First setback - (1st IVF cycle)

For background, this is my first IVF cycle.

Today was Day 9 of Lupron, and CD 2. I went in for my bloodwork and sono and had a little setback.

First there was a 'large cyst' in the way of my left ovary. This was the first time I had heard of it, but apparently the doctor who did my sono 1 week ago noted it in my chart. The doctor today said that these things can come and go in a regular cycle, and hopefully it would be gone by the time I come back next week for a sono and bloodwork, but that they couldn't start the IVF cycle with the cyst there because it would obstruct grabbing the eggs from that side.

And for some reason my hormone levels weren't quite there yet either, so I wouldn't have been able to start the next level of injections yet anyway.

Just kind of bummed and concerned about this cyst. Is this a common thing? If anyone else has been through this please feel free to comment!

I had a large cyst one cycle following a Clomid cycle - in 2 days it shrunk to nothing and I was able to continue. GL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
