First holy communion tie
My son is wearing a navy suit, does he need a white tie? Thanks so much!

No he doesn't.
Our church said it's not mandatory. He didnt need an armband either (we got it anyway).

in my church, white tie is mandatory. I guess all churchs have different rules.

In our church a white tie was not mandatory but it was worn with an arm band by the majority of the boys.

My son wore a black tie. Even the color of the suit was not mandatory as long as it wasn't too wild. lol.

My son wore a white tie and arm band and so did most of the boys, but it wasn't mandatory. One kid wore khaki pants, a navy blazer and a striped tie, so really I guess it all came down to preference.

No white tie required here. My son is wearing a navy blue suit, white shirt and a pastel color tie (haven't gotten it, but I want something light and springy).
