fireworks and pets
with the holiday here and fireworks about to be displayed, please be careful with your pets, friend's pets. etc. THey hate and get scared of the noise of firecrackers.
Please don't let your dog or cat run loose outside when this is happening. THey might run away and never come back.
It is safer for them to be indoors during the loud noise.

Very good point! My aunt's dog freaks out so much that they have to put him on tranquilizers!! He wreaks havoc on the house, I can't imagine what he'd do outside!!

I agree, I lost my kitty for 4 days on the 4th of July, and it was so frightening
He finally came home So he is staying in, well now with his condition, he has to stay in.

Our dog used to be like that. It was so sad. IT was funny because she would literally try to crawl inside our mouths to get away from the noice outside, but at the same time we felt so bad for her that we NEEDED to give her stuff. Every year, we needed to make sure we had it on hand or she would have a heart attack from the anxiety.

Brodie is having a very hard time with the noises already. Monday is going to be no fun for him. We're trying to keep him inside and calm as much as possible.
Lots of Kongs full of peanut butter this weekend!!
