Finding Sex out at 16 weeks?
I have my 16 week appt on Wed. They will be doing a sono... how many of you were able to find out the sex at 16 weeks.
I really think i am having a girl and am wondering if they can tell.

some dr.'s will tell you earlier than 20 weeks. At my 17 weeks appt. she wouldnt tell us

I wouldnt trust it until 20weeks my friend was told at the 16wk that it was a boy and had a girl!!

I found out at 14 weeks with both pregnancies, and they we're right both times. But baby has to be in perfect position to be able to tell that early. So it's possible, but not definite.
ETA: Both times were with my Perinatologist... I don't know if it makes a difference that I was with a specialist or not.

And w/DS #1, I had a sono @ 16 weeks & was told he was a girl- his testicles just hadn't dropped. With this baby at the sono for my amnio (also 16 weeks) he was clearly a boy.

16 weeks might be alil early they guessed  at my 17weeks and confirmed at 20

I found at 17 weeks- but it wasn't my normal doctor, it was through a screening.

I have heard people say that they found out early, but if it were me I would be worried about commiting to that, Ive heard of mistakes happening
I didnt even ask to find out until 20 weeks

I had an amnio with Abby between 16 and 17 weeks and with no question it was VERY obvious that she was a girl before I got any results back. You could see the three lines very clearly during the sonogram.

i wouldnt go by that.
i know the wait is bad but you dont want to be told one thing & then find out the opposite a few weeks later.
