Finding out the sex question
So I go tomorrow at 16w4d. First, what are my possibilities of finding out? Second...to ensure the best cooperation from little one - should I drink some OJ before to get baby moving around or not have any so baby is nice and mellow? Thanks!

I'm not sure if they can tell that early....I was about 19w4d when I had my Level 2...but I did read somewhere to drink OJ before to get the baby moving so I did! Not sure if it was the OJ or not...but she was moving all around during the ultrasound.

I think sometimes they can tell, but I would be a little cautious b/c I have heard stories of people being told the wrong sex especially early along.

at 16 weeks the sono tech told me that she had an idea but didn't want to tell me since she wasn't 100% sure. A few mins later she said "she" isn't cooperating. I totally pick that up and she ended up being right! I think it depends on the tech and if they want to tell you without being 100% sure or not.

My doctor won't even entertain the idea of telling me before 20 weeks. I think if you drink or eat anything with sugar it gets the baby going.

Thanks. She told us at our last appointment that we "might" be able to find out next time - so we'll see...I'll just be happy to see the little one moving around in there!
