fertility after miscarriage
is it true that you are more fertile after a miscarriage? I had a loss a few days ago, and the bleeding has already stopped. I was told I could start trying right away, so I want to start now. Is it possible to get pregnant two weeks after a miscarriage? I am reading online (i know I shouldn't be looking these things up in google- always get mixed answers) that you are alot more fertile immediately after a miscarriage. Curious to see if this happened to any of you :)

It's possible. BUT, for me, TTC immediately turned out to be a bad thing, we waited 1 full cycle, nothing second, then 3rd cycle had a chemical. After 2 losses back to back it threw me into a tailspin. We waited 2 months, I started acupuncture, and then 3 months later got pregnant with DS. Personally, I would WAIT at least the 1 FULL CYCLE... which is what is NORMALLY recommended by doctors. Is it possible after 2 weeks, yes, but recommended, no, your body is still healing, and likely the hcg from the pregnancy isn't even out of your system yet.
ETA: I'm so sorry you are going through this. It's not easy and it can be a very lonely process. Good Luck!!!

My situation may be different as I had to have a D&C. I was told to wait one full cycle, which I did, and then I got pregnant immediately again the following cycle. I am now 17 weeks and so far, so good. Personally I would probably wait one cycle just to be on the safe side. I am so sorry you are going through this.

Yes, I LOVE acupuncture and I am CERTAIN that it is the reason I have my son. My acu took one look at some blood work I had done after 2 months with her and though my docs said that it was perfectly fine, she was like Oh, MTHFR, ok, here's a new methylanted folate to start on top of the prenatals... 5 weeks later I got my BFP. I JUST referred my cousin to her for recurrent MC, she's had a BUNCH and has gone through test after test after test, her last one was at 10 weeks. I'm so positive it's going to work for her, and I know it's helped a lot of ladies on here.

I got pregnant right after. We didn't wait. I had a normal pregnancy and healthy baby.

right after, as in 2 weeks later? Or did you wait for one cycle first?
We are trying right now, but I have no way of knowing when I am going to ovulate, so we are just trying every other day.

I got pregnant again right after my first miscarriage. Unfortunately I miscarried again but I know plenty of people who got pregnant pretty quickly and had healthy pregnancies. Good luck!

Like 2 weeks later. I had ovulation symptoms and went for it.

I had a successful first pregnancy. Second, I was pregnant in oct 2011 lost end of nov 2011 and pregnant right away jan 2011. Another healthy pregnancy.

I had 4 back-to-back pregnancies. So I was quite fertile after each one! A D&C in August, and before I got a period I had a chemical pregnancy in October, another chemical pregnancy in November, and then got pregnant for the 4th time in December (I'm currently 16 weeks). I have hormone issues and a blood clotting disorder that I *think* led to the 2 chemicals, so they were unrelated to the fact that they happened so quickly after my other losses.

My doc asked me to wait 2 cycles. We got through one. I didn't expect to get pregnant so quickly.
