Feel any different the day of?

Did any of you feel any different the day of your delivery, before the contractions/labor pains started?

Re: Feel any different the day of?

nope, not at all. As a matter of fact I was SHOCKED when my water broke - I thought for sure I was good for another few days.

I will say though the week before I went into labor I had a lot of flu like symptoms.

Re: Feel any different the day of?

absolutely! I knew that it was going to happen soon. And I definitely felt differnt, had a little more energy, and just had a different state of mind. I was outside gardening at 7pm and my water broke at 8:30pm. We were sittin eating dinner and I said "I'm having this baby tonight", of course my husband said "no, not tonight I have so much work tomorrow!" (men!!!). Are you feeling different?

I went into labor around midnight. I felt absolutely the same all day long. In fact, I had my 40 week check up at 7:15 that night and everything WAS exactly the same.

It wasn't until about 9-9:30pm that I started to feel a bit weird. I had some period-like cramps that ended up never going away!

Re: Feel any different the day of?

I'm not feeling extremely different. I've had a cold all weekend (since friday) and I'm still feeling achey from that and just overall stuffed up and stuff. But I did notice today that I fit through this tight squeeze in the hallway and I haven't in a while. I think the baby may have dropped even MORE then it did already. I'm also having a stomach ache. I know your body cleanses itself out before labor, so I wonder if that's connected at all.

I go to the dr today at 11:45, and I want him to just send me to the hospital, so maybe it's just wishful thinking! I was 39 weeks yesterday.

Re: Feel any different the day of?

I had started loosing my mucous plug on on a Sat, it continued coming out the whole weekend. Then on Monday (Memorial day) I started having some major contractions but they would never last more that 3 hours at a time. So I felt like my body was preparing for the real thing. The next morning I woke up at 6 am and couldn't go back to sleep. I started timing the contractions and they were 7 min apart. It was like that until 1pm with periods of 45 min where they were 5 min apart. So I called the Dr. office and they told me to just go to the hospital. When I got there I was already 4cm.

Good Luck!!!

Not at all. I came home from work was writing shower thank yous and I coughed and my water broke...I was in shock.

Actually that weekend, I thought I was going to go late because I felt like my baby was higher than it had felt in the past few weeks. Also that day of work a co-worker was like you have a long way to go - you are look too high - lol....I was three weeks early.

Re: Feel any different the day of?

I felt the same except that out of no where I had a burst of energy and I had to clean the entire apartment and n ot the normal cleaning routine I mean I cleaned out closets and under the bed and things like that other then that I was the same.

ETS: once I was done with the cleaning and took a shower my contractions started in the shower
