FEEDING QUESTION

I was giving Emma 4 oz. every 3-4 hours. Now that she is getting 5 ounces she sometimes can go 5 hours without eating? Do you think that is too long to go? I hate waking her up when she is sleeping.

FYI: Emma is a peanut. Last week at the doctor she was 8 lbs. 15 oz.

Re: FEEDING QUESTION

I would call your ped in your case b/c she is super tiny. My DS is about the same age and about 3lbs heavier, so I do let him go.

Re: FEEDING QUESTION

DS is on the small side as well and I asked the Ped if I can let him go longer then 4 hours and he said no more then 5 hours withouteating until he was 3 months old

he also was only eating 4 oz up until he was 3 months old at 4months he was at 4-6 oz and just now at 5 months 6-8 oz... every baby is different so what is good for one is not always for another .. your his mother you do what you feel is best for your child.. within reason without calling the ped...
