Feb/March 2010 Moms - Let's update!

How are you and your babies doing?

Charlie turned 3 months on the 22nd. She can sit up when propped at times and is REALLY strong. She was mad one day when I put her in the pack n play and actually went from laying to sitting (and then kept going until she fell on her face - I witnessed this because I put her in and was peeking to see if she would fall back asleep) Chat Icon If you put her on her belly, she can slowly make her way from one end of the floor to the other by pushing her feet into the floor. Two nights ago I woke up and looked at where she sleeps by habit (she sleeps in one of those things IN my bed - I think its calles the sound sleeper) and she wasnt there. I almost had a heart attack when I saw she was all the way down by my feet!!! I think we are going to have a very early crawler/walker on our hands.

She likes alot of attention. I cant just sit her in her bouncer anymore. I have to constantly walk over and make funny sounds, but its all worth it because she gives me the cutest smiles!

She doesnt nap much during the day if we're home. She takes one LONG nap and thats it. When we go out, she tends to nap a little better. The car almost always knocks her out!

We had her 3 month appt on the 24th and she is 12lbs 1.5oz (50th percentile) and 24.75 inches (75th percentile) Dr. said she is growing right on track and that she looks great!

Here she is in her new toy which she LOVES. She smiles and coos at the toys on it. This was her first time in it so she was a little confused! We do not need to prop her with blankets and she will play happily for about 20 minutes before getting tired.

She was talking to the toy in this one:

This is when I first put her in. She was trying to figure out how to balance herself and was like WTH is this?

Re: Feb/March 2010 Moms - Let's update!

Hello!!

We are doing really good here :) Emerson is changing every single day. She's 3.5 months now. At her 3 mth appt she was 11lbs13oz and 23 inches long. She sits up, starting to roll over, she talks and talks and talks. She laughs and smiles ALL day. I absolutely love it!
She discovered her feet the other day and tried to bend over to put them in her mouth, but was not successful lol Today she was amazed by her hands and played with them on her boppy for hours.
She's *almost* sleeping completely through the night. She still wakes up once for a bottle, but it's usually not until 5-6am (goes to bed around 1130pm) but i'll take it! I feel so much better since i'm able to get more sleep at night.
This was here yesterday in that gross heat we had. she HATED being outside so I came in after like 20 mins. The other picture is her playing with her hands

DD will be 2 months old tomorrow. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by.

She is talking more and more and it's the cutest thing ever.

Slept in her crib for the first time the other day. We get a few hours and then she goes back in our bed. She still gets us to eat every 3 or 4 hours.

We go for her well visit tomorrow so we will know height and weight then.

Big sister Amelia is loving her sister too.

Re: Feb/March 2010 Moms - Let's update!

Hey everyone. Luca had his 3 month appointment 2 days ago and was 12lbs 13oz and 23 1/2".

He has been sttn for a month now which has been AWESOME. He LOVES eating his fingers and pretty much does it all day long. He has mastered pulling the paci out of his mouth and flinging it but has yet to get it IN his mouth by himself- that would be helpful to me, lol.

He loves to lay on towels on my mil's dining room table surrounded by people and bang his feet up and down crazy hard. He also loves pushing away with his feet and I can't believe how strong his little legs are. We are looking forward to some rolling over and sitting up- so far he hasn't shown much interest in either. I think he is still gassy so when I prop him in a seated position he sometimes seems uncomfortable. Oh, and he LOVES being held in a standing position and pretending to walk, lol.

His favorite toys right now are his keys, mortimer the moose, and his mobile. He can sit and watch Nick Jr. FOREVER but as soon as I put on Your Baby Can Read he gets upset, lol. He also loves when I say, "mama" to him. Man, I can't wait til he says it himself!

He is starting to drool quite a bit and will chew on his blanket so I think we r looking at some teething. I wish his fine motor skills were a little better so he could get teething things in his mouth :( Soon, I'm sure.

Here are some pics:

Re: Feb/March 2010 Moms - Let's update!

Hi everyone! Owen is 3.5 months old and a beast Chat Icon At his 3 month check-up, he was 24.5 inches and 15.1 lbs - 75th percentile for both.

He has started to roll over from back to belly. He is drooling a lot and puts everything in his mouth so it wouldn't surprise me if he teethes on the early side.

As for sleeping - he is in depsperate need of improvement! He is not consistent and sleeps anywhere from 6 to 9 hours per night before needing a bottle. The problem is that sometimes, he is up at 4:30 - 5:00 AM and ready for the day Chat Icon And napping - he takes a few cat naps. I don't know how he survives on such little sleep!!!

I just put him in the exersaucer and he loves it!!!

He has 4 month check-up in 2 weeks and I am planning on starting him on solids.

HI!
Jessie just turned 3 mos on the 22nd.

She is LAZY! I bother her with tummy time all the time. She is getting a little more head control each day.

She goes down between 8:30-9ish...wakes at 6 for a feeding, then sleeps till 7:30. I am still in shock.

She naps in the swing, 2 hours in AM, then 3 hours in afternoon.

Very sweet. Loves her little play gym and grabbing the rings. Total drooling machine.

Gregory is 2 months old (10 weeks) and becoming more and enjoyable...of course now that my maternity leave is up.

He has been smiling like crazy when I talk to him or blow rasberries and doing some silent laughing which I adore. I can't wait until the sound matches up with the laugh Chat Icon He also started smiling at the toys hanging overhead in the rocker.

Because he sleeps on his belly his neck is strong and he has been lifting up as well as sitting in the bumbo for pretty long stretches. He has also started rolling from belly to back in the crib but only once in a while. He can squirm his way from the middle of the crib upward to the rail as can turn...180 degrees. Cute to see but drives me crazy because it ends with him waking up Chat Icon Chat Icon

Napping with the 9/12/3 schedule for the most part although only at an hour tops. If he wakes cranky I put him in the swing to nap a little more. Goes to bed at 8:30 and wakes around 4:30 although we recently got a few 5:30 wake ups. Praying every day for more of those.

At his 2 month appt he was weighing 12lbs 4oz and measuring 23 inches...50th percentile all around including head.

Re: Feb/March 2010 Moms - Let's update!

Ooooh what a grreat post!!! All our babies are soooo adorable!!! Chat Icon

My lil Peanut is doing great! I can't get enough of him. I'm actually so thankful in a way that I got laid off when I did... b/c now I get to spend ALLLL this time with him.

Anyways, DS will be 4 months old on the 5th. I just don't know where the time went. We are going to be starting solids then, and I'm actually super excited about it. When I tell him that, he just gives me this biiiig smile and then opens his mouth as if he's saying, well, FEED ME! Lol.
He is also super strong, simular to Charlie girl. Chat Icon (his girlfriend LMAO) I first put him in his exersauser when he was almost 3 months old. I had to use blankets at that point b/c he was still all over the place, but no longer needs anything. he'll actually get mad at me if I do put something in there with him. He'll just try to pull it out time and time again. We were given a jumperoo from our neighbor, so we have the both of those set up... and he LOOOVES that thing. I actually moved it in the livingroom now so he can have more time in it.. he will sit in it for the longest time...talking to the little kangeroo on it. And just as of today, he finally is not keeping his hands on his sides, and finally reaching to play with the other toys and even pushes the button to make the music and lights go on.
Tummy time no longer exists!!! He learned how to roll over from belly to back at a little over 3 months old... so now each time I put him on his belly, hell roll over on his back and just crack up in these cutest little giggles. There are some days if I make it seem I'm not sitting there with him, he will do the backwards crawl. He does try to crawl foward, but only can do it on our couch...guess since it's leather so it's easier to move LOL. He jsut never sits still... and ALWAYS loves to stand. I mean, I actually have to bend his hips to sorta make him sit... b/c he'll just love to hold my thumbs and stand up all day long if I let him.
In the mornings after his feeding, we play on my bed for about 30 mins. He has been getting better at sitting up on his own with no support, usually tripod style LOL... and then he'll slowly fall, and not understand why.
He loves car rides...only the long ones make him go to sleep. But usually, oncce we get to our destination, he'll wake up. He likes to look out the window... so he gets pretty mad when we stop. lol
He loooves to talk. He talks all day long... to me, to Daddy, to our dog...to his stuffed monkey....heck, even to his hands. LOL.
He truely is a peanut... he's still in 0-3 month clothes...and most are still rather large on him. At his 3 month appt he was 12lbs 6oz, 25th percentile for weight, but nearing the 50th percentile for height. Tuesday is his 4 month appt., and I'm actually super excited about it HAHA
Ok, I think I made this long enough...as you can see I can go on and on about him. I don't know how I ever lived without him. He just brings me soo much joy and happiness. Soo...now here's some of his recent pics ...

First time in his jumperoo... that blue thing with him is a little bear blanket thing LOL. His face is like what IS this thing??
