Fashion issue- wwyd?
So I am going to a wedding in July for a friend. I have this great dress I wanted to wear. Its really the only think I have in my closet to wear to a wedding.
I wore this dress to a wedding 3 years ago of my friend, S. S's sister is my best friend from childhood. S and her family are all invited to this wedding and we will probably all be sitting together. They may remember the dress.
Should I wear the dress again, or look for something else?

So the only people who will be at both weddings are the old bride ( and immediate family ) and the new bride?
I would wear it then.
BUT if the entire circle of friends were invited to both weddings then I wouldn't wear it.

No. its just the old bride and her family (and the new bride). No one else who was at the old wedding will be at this one.

A friend of mine wore the same dress she wore to my wedding to a mutual freinds wedding 2 year' later & I only noticed, b/c I have pictures of here from my wedding & I pay attention to silly things like that, but I didn't think there was anything wrong with doing that.
I assumed she had it cleaned in the 2 years!

Honestly, I have two black dresses that I have been alternating to all of the weddings that I have ( over 12 from 2007-2008 ) and so far it has worked out!

Thanks. I am definitely leaning to wearing it again. She is one of my last friends to get married, and I have a feeling when the other one gets married, it won't be in the US and much less formal, so chances are I won't wear it again.

3 YEARS ago ?? I would absolutely wear it again - If you wore it 3 weeks or 3 months ago, then I'd find something new ..........but really? 3 YEARS ?? I don't think I'd remember what anyone was wearing at my Wedding if I saw them in the same dress 3 years later !!!

did you get compliment on it from the family memberd that will be at this wedding?
if no and if its black id wear it again w. different accesories/shoes /purse

This was the dress in a chocolate/brown color. I don't even remember what shoes/accessories I wore wtih it.

i'd have to say just wear it. what's the difference. i could care less what people were wearing at my wedding much less if they had worn it to someone elses wedding. why should you have to go spend money on a new dress for my wedding??? i get something new if i don't feel like wearing what i have. but then again..i'm not big on clothes so maybe my opinion shouldn't count

I would wear it again. AND I would casually mention to your friend S that you were going to. This way its out there. Like someone else said, you are allowed to wear a dress twice.

I probably wouldn't wear it because I'm a freak and I DO remember what people wore to my wedding 4 years ago. But that's one of my quirks. Most normal people wouldn't remember.

I think most people do remember. I would not wear the same dress, but then again, I love any excuse buy a new dress!
