Interesting article....I knew that many of these were scams but I never understood how the scam worked.

Totally. I hate when I see these "type Amen" scams - why am I typing Amen? I can't believe Facebook allows this.

Older women in my family who I'm FB friends with "like" and type "Amen" on these pages too. I always thought something was fishy about it. I hate having my news feed filled up with those posts.

Ugh my MIL and her sister do all this stuff. It's so annoying to constantly see it on my newsfeed. MIL used to like those ads to win free ioads, tickets, etc... Until she got a virus!
