Experiences with Dr. Alex Kofinas

I am thinking about using him. Does anyone have any feedback they can share?

He is a specialist so your OB needs to give you a referral to see him , he does the high risk stuff the OB's dont. He doesnt replace your OB or anything like that.

He is known as one of the best High Risk Dr.'s in the country and I know a lot of the girls on here use him and everyone seems to love him.

My Dr. Wanted me to see him but he only accepts insurance plans with Out of Network benefits and I dont have that and his costs were too high for me to pay as I need to go so often.

Dr Kofinas is amazing.. I've been seeing him since about 9 weeks. He's my perinatoligst- I also see a separate OB. It's sometimes annoying as I oftentimes have 2 doc appts in one week- but I feel completely safe in Kofinas' hands.

I go every 2 weeks and have a full sono done of baby, placenta and my surrounding blood vessles.

Once a month they draw blood to make sure the lovenox is still effective at the current dose.

I have heard GREAT things about him. He is called a "magic doctor". I am on another forum, where a lot of ppl used him, and they describe him not only as a great doctor, but someone who is caring and has a great personality.
