Experience with Rose Furniture from NC?

I went to Thomasville last weekend and finally found some sofas that we both love.

They were too much money Chat Icon

So my neighbor recommended I go to NC and check it out. I emailed Rose Furniture and they quoted me the sofas at about $1000 less than the store.

Hmmm..

I'm excited but cautiously optimistic...

any experiences?

TIA!

Re: Experience with Rose Furniture from NC?

My motherinlaw bought her couch, wing chair and dining set from nancy at Rose Furniture. The only issue she had with them is the wing chair was supposed to come in a different fabric and instead came in the same fabric as the couch ... that might have been a communication error between the two ladies...
The dining table got a nick on it when the men delivered it (could happen from any store) and they Rose sent someone over to fix it, no problems.
Nancy told her it would take 10 weeks and it was delivered in the 10th week. She was happy with them. She never even returned the chair, even though the company offered. She ended up liking it in the same fabric.

No, you will be fine. I use them before and did not have any problem. My girlfriend lives in NC and she bought most of her furniture from them.

Excellent news..

Saving $1000 is huge. I can show you the pic of the sofa but it's not in the fabric or color..

hmm..maybe I could do a screen shot.

nah that didn't work, but here's a pic of the sofa not in the color or fabric.
We are getting it in a cinnamon/persimmion damask fabric.

Re: Experience with Rose Furniture from NC?

thank you all so much..DH will be happy to hear as well..a little nerve wracking not dealing with a retail store when that's all you know.

I guess all the furniture comes from there anyway.

Can anyone tell me about how they paid the sales tax?

if its being shipped out of state, then you dont have to pay sales tax.
(i think you are supposed to claim it on your tax return though.....)

Now you do have to pay sales tax. When we ordered from Furnitureland South years ago we did not have to pay tax but they have since changed it and now you have to pay tax.

Re: Experience with Rose Furniture from NC?

Rose said that they don't collect tax in NY and I could pay it on my taxes or wait until they find me which they probably won't. Either way I don't mind paying the tax, but the savings is even more if I don't have to.Chat Icon

Can't wait to place the order! Waiting for my salesperson to get back to me to confirm the fabric..want to make sure.

Re: Experience with Rose Furniture from NC?

I used Rose for my bedroom set, which they saved me about $1000, and my cocktail and end table in my livingroom which saved me $$ as well. It's definately worth it. You can also pay the furniture off if you need to. MOst of the time they offer 0% for 1yr. There is no sales tax, and that's also a big plus for buying from NC.

My best friend furnished her whole house through Rose and it's all beautiful!! I believe she waited quite a while for delivery though. Good luck.

Re: Experience with Rose Furniture from NC?

According to Rose Furniture you have to have been there within the last 90 days and registered for them to quote you or sell you. That's with Thomasville stuff and some other restrictive companies. There are others you don't have to go there are register for.

My coworker went last year and she referred me to her salesperson and he is more than willing to work with me so I guess that rule can be bent. If you need the salesperson's info I'll be happy to pass it on.

I used them for my bedroom set and saved a bunch of money. Everything was great, even when I had a problem with the drawers and needed a new armoire. They wanted to deliver withint 4 weeks of ordering, and I was not ready so they held it for 5 weeks.
