Executive Orders...

...
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump will mark the end of his first 100 days in office with a flurry of executive orders, looking to fulfill campaign promises and rack up victories ahead of that milestone by turning to a presidential tool he once derided. But Trump's frequent use of the executive order points to his struggles getting legislation though a Congress controlled by his own party and few of the orders themselves appear to deliver the sweeping changes the president has promised.

White House aides said that Trump will have signed 32 executive orders by Friday, the most of any president in their first 100 days since World War II. That's a far cry from Trump's heated campaign rhetoric, in which he railed against his predecessor's use of executive action late in his tenure as President Barack Obama sought to maneuver around a Republican Congress. Trump argued that he, the consummate deal maker, wouldn't need to rely on the tool.

"The country wasn't based on executive orders," said Trump at a town hall in South Carolina in February 2016. "Right now, Obama goes around signing executive orders. He can't even get along with the Democrats, and he goes around signing all these executive orders. It's a basic disaster. You can't do it."

But after taking office, Trump has learned to love the executive order. This week, he will sign one on rural issues, another on veterans and several on energy.

The White House has defended the use of executive orders as necessary to accomplish the speedy solutions it says the American people elected Trump to enact. At first, the president's West Wing advisers fashioned an onslaught of executive action to set the tone for this term, with the centerpiece of that first-week blitz being Trump's travel ban.
...

Once again, more lies after lies after "Oh, I didn't realize being president was so hard..."

Everything he criticized his opponents for, and his die-hard supports were foaming at the mouth about, he's doing himself in spades, and his supporters think it's great.

He has no idea how to run a country (based on his track record, he can't run a business either...), no idea how to negotiate, work with people, have good ideas, or do much of anything in general.

But hey, let's give him a participation trophy, even though by all measures, he's done less in his first 100 days than any other modern president. He may have even accomplished less than Harrison, who died after 31 days in office.... Chat Icon Chat Icon

It's comical to me that Trump supporters thought he'd be "different" and "better than a REAL politician". He's NO different and NO better. In fact, he's actually WORSE because he's the biggest LIAR and bull$hit con man of all. It's utterly astounding still, even after 100 days, how little he understands about government, economics, foreign policy, and politics in general.

On top of his ignorance, he thinks threatening, whining, and stomping his feet like a toddler is how he'll get his way with Congress. I hope he gets blocked and blocked and blocked at EVERY SINGLE turn so that he'll get so frustrated that he walks away. I LOVE that he's getting a taste of what it's like for every other president in history..........................this is NOT an all powerful position where you can do whatever the hell you want. Executive Orders...

Kindly remember, #45, that the Presidency is richly steeped in tradition, one of which is a measurement of the successes in your first 100 days. No excuses.

He's the ultimate "snowflake" who's feelings are always hurt, and is looking for a "participation trophy" just for "trying", and his supports are all for giving him that, and yet are the most vocal when little kids get the same treatment.
