Ever been to Shelter Island?
DH and I are thinking of going for the day next weekend. Do you have any favorite restaurants/activities to suggest?

My friend had a house there when we were kids....I dont remember much - I know there was a big hotel there and the town was small....
I havent been there in over 15 years though.....

I used to go there all the time. My DH is from Orient. There aren't a lot of restaurants there but I like Ram's Head. You can also go to Greenport or Sag Harbor which are nice towns to walk around in.

My family has a house on the island. It is great to go to the house, hang out and go out on the water. The island itself is kind of small and there is not a lot to do. I would stick with Sag Harbor.

My grandmother had a house there on the water when we were little but it has been a very long time since Ive been there. What I can remeber it was beautiful.
