Epi Pens and Air Travel

Does security give you a problem with carrying on an epi pen?

Re: Epi Pens and Air Travel

No...I had those amongst other things in my diaper bag when we travled this April to DR, and no one said a word. Epi pen, children's benadryl and tylenol, even open Juice I think...it was kind of crazy how the rules were so different since we had a child with us. We flew Delta out of JFK.

On a side note, I can't believe how big your little girl is now! I remember seeing pics of her on here as a baby...(I was PG then) Chat Icon

Not at all...

I had sippy cups of milk..sippys of water, snacks, fruit cups, benedryl and motrin and was never asked....but I had the sippys in a small travel cooler that i always use in my diaper bsg...and I took that out and the meds in a zip lock and put them out in a tray as well and they never said a thing...and I have traveled about 4 times like this!

Good luck!

Re: Epi Pens and Air Travel

I need to carry one for myself and always just have a doctor's note just in case. I also declare it to security before I even put my bag through in the hopes they won't see it and need to do a individual screening.
