End of school year gifts for teachers (Nursery School)
Nursery school ends for DS June 1st. I already collected $20 from each of the parents in his class and we are getting both teachers gift cards to Grillfire in Merrick (the teachers also live in our area).
I want to do something extra from DS. Being we were already doing the gift cards from the class I was thinking about making gift baskets.
Maybe a gardening themed gift basket with gloves, tote with gardening tools and some potted plants. Is that dumb?
Any other ideas for gift baskets?

spa - lotions, etc.
movie night - boxes of movie candy in a popcorn tub with blockbuster gift card

I like the summer idea...I can get a beach tote with beach towels. I know they both like the beach.

In my experience you are better off giving cash or a gift card in a greeting card. Sarah's first year at nursery school I gave a physical gift in addition to the class gift and I heard through the grapevine that some of the other parents felt like it made them look bad for not giving something extra too. So now I just give a card and nobody knows if there is anything extra in it or not.

PERFECT GIFT!!! i am a 3rd grade teacher and got this one year and thought it was the greatest idea!!
I also got a strarbucks gift card with a insulated "iced coffee" travel cup - they have them now - sooooo cool (cold drinks wont sweat in the heat)
