Eczema lotions on sale

went out to stock up today, and eckerd has a great sale on Aveeno stuff, usually 4.99 a bottle/tube, right now they are 3 bucks. And all the Eucerine stuff is 25% off, so a 14$ jar of cream becomes $10!
Also, does anyone with a child with eczema use a good bubble bath?? Angela loves bubbles and I don't know what to use! thanks!

Re: Eczema lotions on sale

Thanks for posting the sales! I will have to go and stock up. I haven't been able to find any good bubble bath products for sensitive skin. My son loves bubble baths but I try to limit them to once a week and the other days I just make them regular baths and just give him lots of toys to play with.

I'll have to check it out. I use lots of Aveeno stuff, I love how its not greasy and really works. Another favorite of mine is the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing lotion, but I am not sure if you'd want to use that on your daughter.

Re: Eczema lotions on sale

how did you guys know that your child had aczema? Emily has these patches of textured skin on her chest, tummy, legs and arms. It is not on her back or face. It gets especially bad behind her knees, in her ankle cracks and in her elbows. It gets red and puffy looking sometimes, and I use Cetaphil and Aquaphor DAILY and I just thought it would eventually go away and it didn't. Even when her skin is very moisturized the patches are still there. I've mentioned it to the pediatrician at the last 3 visits and she said it's just dry skin.

Re: Eczema lotions on sale

How old is your daughter? In the beginning my son also had patches of raised red marks and his pediatrician said it was dry skin. I think they don't want to diagnosis it as infants. If I remember correctly they told me it was eczema around 4 or 6 months. It was a hot summer day and I thought my son had an allergic reaction to something or maybe he had heat rash because his entire stomach was filled with little red bumps. I took him to the pediatrician and they diagnosed it as eczema. I would keep an eye on it and if it gets worse when the warmer weather gets here, call your pediatrician again. Does your daughter scratch at her skin at all? This could possibly be a sign. Hopefully it is only dry skin, thoughChat Icon

ETA- You should also not bathe your little one every day if they have dry skin or eczema because this will only dry the skin out more. I only give my son a bath two to three times a week.

Re: Eczema lotions on sale

the store is Eckerd, just don't go to the one in West Hempstead today, bc I bought it all! The aveeno stuff is usually 4.99 and it's only 3 bucks on sale, and the big tub of Eucerin is usually 14.49 and it's 10.84. Still haven't found any good bubble bath, but I will try using some of the Aveeno baby wash under the running water and maybe that will make some bubbles!
