Ectopic Pregnancy how long.....

They believed back in March I had a ectopic pregnancy but couldn't say for sure when they did the sonogram. So they gave me the metro shot and my dr told me to wait until June to take the HSG test to see if my tubes are blocked.

After being being depress for the last couple of months blaming myself I decided to schedule a appointment with the sher Institute for reproductive medicine have anyone ever heard of them. I have appointment on wednesday. My dr advise me to use protection until then.

So I have not try TTc as of yet. This was my first miscarriage. Did anyone had a situation like mines when the dr could not determine if it was an ectopic or regular miscarriage? If so how long did it take to get pregnant again.

I had an ectopic in July 2006. Although my doctor could not confirm it. I also received the metho shot and had to wait 2 months afterwards to start trying again. We are still not pregnant, but we have male factor infertility. We will be starting our IVF cycle next week.

I don't go to SIRM, but I have heard good things about them.

I also had an ectopic pregnancy back in Nov 2006, after an IUI. They couldn't see it on sono and I had methotrexate. I was allowed to start trying again 3 months later. I have not been pregnant since. We have unexplained infertility.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
On the bright side, my friend had an ectopic last November and they had to remove a tube as it had progressed beyond the Metho point. She got a BFP on Christmas Eve (her Dr. didn't make her wait, but that may have been because they removed the tube). She is now a mommy to a gorgeous 7 month old baby girl.

I had surgery on 2/23 to end an ectopic pregnancy and to remove my right fallopian tube (and the cyst that caused the whole thing).

I was told to wait 2-3 cycles before I TTC again.

I had an ectopic in Jan of 2005 - saw it on the sono and was removed by surgery next day, but the tube was saved. I was told to wait one month. I did, and got pg again - another ectopic, confirmed by blood and sono. I had 2 shots of metho but then my tube ruptured and was lost.

I was advised to get the HSG test next to see the state of my remaining tube, before trying to get pg again. My tube is not viable so we're up to IVF.
