Early Intervention speech question

DS qualified for services and I was told I could either choose a provider or the agency I used for the eval could assign a therapist. There are 2 SLPs that come highly recommended to me and I'd rather use one of them. Anyone know if there is a provider list where I could see if the recommended SLPs are on it?

i would ask the person who recommended the SLP which agency's they work for... some SLP work for multiple agency's


i just did a google search for my DD/DS speech therapist and her phone number and address came up, so i guess you could just call them and ask.

Thanks. They're bpth private practice so I'll just give them each a call. Iwas just hoping there may be provider list somewhere on the DOH website.

No, not that I know of. You can request someone though, just ask your EIOD to contact them.

I would suggest calling the SLPs directly. They may not do EI...if they are in private practice. However, if they do EI they will probably want to choose which agency to go through. You want them have clearance through an agency they already have worked with, otherwise it could take a few extra weeks.

Oh and you can also ask the agency if they are listed as providers. But I don't think there is a list that the DOH has. That would actually be a great idea :)
