DVD Country Formats

Is there anyway to buy a #2 country coded (Europe, UK) DVD and have it made into a #1 coded (USA, Canada) DVD so that it can play on another countrys machines?

there are places that will convert it. Look for something that says World Video Conversion ...

I got to this Irish Store in Queens that does it. I think they charged $20 or $50 (I forget)
