Due Date and No Baby
Dr said I can WAIT one more week, but wants me to go for another biophysical on Friday.
Should I just induce? I am so confused!!!

I'm in a similar situation - I really want he baby to come when ready but there are so many reasons that they might need some help. I have to make the same decision on Saturday and right now am leaning towards waiting as much as I am so over pregnancy!

Kara is totally right (as usual )
All kidding aside, try to go on your own. I was induced and it is hard on your body and I was so nervous about a c section too.
BUT on the flip side, an induction isn't the end of the world.

I would try to wait. Inductions have a higher chance of c-section.

I would wait and see if you go naturally - I wouldn't induce unless there is a need b.c it increases the risk of complications/c-section. If you need to induce that is one thing but your baby might just not be ready and that is okay depending on how late you are.

I agree. I was induced when DD was 6 days late and had a c-section. I have a feeling I would probably have ended up with the c-section anyway and it wasn't awful (the c-section), but sometimes I wish I would have waited just a couple more days to see if she would have come on her own.

Thanks ladies. That is my dilemma--if I do it soon, i wiill never know what would have been. I think I will see the test results and make a decision--my dr said we can do it as early as friday if we dont like what we see

I totally agree!
Also: your due date is just an estimate. If it is your first baby the majority of people go late.

I am waiting for 10 days that's it. My fluid is already on the low side and they estimate that he is already around 9 lbs. If he gets too much bigger my doctor said I'm probably going to have to have a c-section anyway. I'm weird though. The thought of a c-section doesn't really freak me out too much. I just want a happy healthy baby how he comes out I really don't care.

Your baby is just lazy and comfy, kinda like his daddy!
All kidding aside, see what Friday brings, you know it's more convenient for me to see my neice or nephew on the weekend too!!!!

My due date came and went too, and everyone (the Dr. included) thought I would go early. I wound up being induced 6 days past my due date because they felt the baby was running low on fluid. By the time I was induced, I was having contractions on my own and "probably" would have gone into labor on my own within a few days. For me, the induction was what was best for the baby, so it made the decision very easy. I know what it's like to just want the baby out of there.
