DS # 2 is due in 5 weeks, trying to plan our summer vacation

DS is due March 30th. My older DS will be 2 in May. We are renting a house with 3 other families in the Outer Banks the last week of August. But we would also like to do a vacation with just our family. We were thinking Club Med Sandpiper. Has anyone ever been? How is it? We would go in early October for 4 nights/5 days. Will it still be warm enough for us to enjoy the beach? We would like to do the spring ideally, but we are obviously not going to fly with a newborn. So October seems like a good bet- the kids will be 2.5 and 6 months. If not sandpiper, any other suggestions? TIA!

Early October is peak foliage time in Vermont. Super kid friendly! Stay at a place with a great pool, go visit Ben and Jerry's!

IMO, October is iffy in Florida. Can be cold sometimes... Well, cool and not swim weather. That being said, my in laws went in January and had great weather, and I wore a sweater when I went memorial day (all in fort lauderdale which tends to be warm).
