DQ Alpha Match
Hi ladies..so I got my results back and DH and I are a DQ alpha match. I am still trying to just take everything in but very overwhlemed! My dr (Braverman at SIRM) is reccomending IVIG and IVF. I would like to get a second opinion as well before we decide anything. Does anyone have some recomendations on who else would be good to see that might specialize in this. Thanks for your help!

What numbers are you?
Dh and I are also a DQ alpha match (4.1)
Most drs will recommend IVIG and/or LIT

We are a 2.1 match. The doctore reccomended ivig and ivf..so fa we have conceived naturally all 3 times but they think with the expense of IVIG it makes sense to do ivf too...

I know very little about this but if you go to the Yahoo immunology group they have a link under files that shows some people have gotten reimbursed for IVIG. Check it out. Maybe you can cut your costs. Good luck.

I was pleasantly surprised that we were reimbursed a good amt for IVIg
We used Columbia Pharmacy (in Chicago I think) and they FOUGHT my insurance company for me
